about

This song was written while I was jailed in St. Charles Co. Missouri, and is my point of view on the monotony of killing the time within the day. So, this is a reminder for myself and a warning to others.

lyrics

It's just another day, another unconnected call,
Days spent killing time between meals, gettin' no mail at all.
Walkin' back and forth, down this same ol' worn out mile,
Same uniforms, yeah, same worn out old smiles.
Bobble heads swaying, to and from the medicine cart,
Like clockwork the watchers switch, the new shift will start.
In an 8x10, waitin' on that bunk and junk call,
Brick by brick, philosophy from a jailhouse wall.
Recycled stories, told to new ears around,
Conversations dead to old ears, ain't nuthin' but sound.
Like time that wears on, I have nothing to say,
I'm wasting away, as I waste the day.
