about

This song is about an extremely low time at one point in my life where I felt as if my soul were dying. Not a physical death, but a spiritual one. Attributed mostly to the years of drug abuse I had endured. In short, this song is a WARNING to those who may be following the same path.

lyrics

Lay me to rest, as I hear the Death bell toll,
While the flesh may be breathing, there's an uncertain soul.
Like prey, running to stay alive,
Deaths the hunter, just killing to survive.
Killing to survive.
Consuming not the bodily function,
But a reclusive cancer of internal destruction.
Devouring me from the inside out,
I'm learning what living to death is all about.
What living to deaths about.
Falling to Sloth seems but slow suicide,
No-matter the speed, this is not how I'd hoped I'd died.
I can run no-more, my cremated life will follow,
As dust in the wind I pray I am tomorrow.
So dissolve me completely, as the death bell tolls low,
And rings into silence, as it's my time to go.
As it's my time to go.
As it's my time to go.
As it's my time to go.
As it's my time to go.
