about

This song is about a kind of introspective view of myself telling myself of how some of the things I do, or have done, were done as an act of rebellion against growing old; Then the realization of this discovery.

lyrics

Time, won't tell, but would if you could see your face.
And time, that will, wouldn't cause' you'd never believe there was a trace.
Looking through mirrored glass, there's your lies and you.
And the reflection of the you, you once knew.
You think you can be that man again, but your reflection says, your lyin'.
Time will tell through the lines grown in your skin;
And time that won't is speechless, knowing you only by where you've been.
The glass you viewed your lies through has long since been broken.
From your shattered reflection you feel the ages, no longer concealed;
Time has spoken.
